Venue: Rotorua Convention Centre, 12:30pm-4:30pm
The Health Research Council of New Zealand (the HRC) and Whakauae Research Services will be hosting a writing workshop in Rotorua prior to Hui Whakapiripiri 2010 on Wednesday the 7th of July at the Rotorua Convention Centre. The workshop will help assist students, experienced researchers and community and iwi representatives in writing research funding proposals specifically for the HRC, however the skills learnt at this workshop can be applied to proposals for other organisations such as; the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology, the Royal Society of New Zealand and Nga Pae o te Maramatanga.
Attendance at the workshop is free however you must register by filling in the form here to attend.
Past writing workshops have proven successful and people who have an interest in Maori health research, no matter their research experience, are encouraged to attend.
Attendees are encouraged to bring draft proposals, ideas and questions. One to one and group sessions with qualified and experienced researchers and assessing committee members who provide advice and suggestions will be available.
Please contact Emily Huwyler (admin.whakauae@xtra.co.nz/06 347 6772) if you require further information or visit Whakauae Research Services at http://www.whakauae.co.nz/.
